"We've enjoyed working with this office for the past several years. Prompt responses and great customer service from whomever I've spoken to. This past weekend we had an issue with our car insurance and Michelle was kind enough to contact me on her day off to assure me that the problem had already been corrected!"

"After deciding to make the switch from an insurance company I had for over 25 years I found out I should have switched to State Farm 24 years ago. They saved me 500.00 dollars on a 6 month policy and 500.00 a year my homeowners policy. Michelle was great and easy to work with and Tim as a personal Agent is amazing. I truly look forward to this relationship! Switch now and save your money also!!!"

"This is why I left USAA after more than 35 years: I became a USAA client at age 16, when I got my first car. For a couple of decades, it served me just fine. As I got older, and my insurance needs became more complex, I found their service to be lacking. They seemed unable to properly match their insurance products with my insurance needs. I also noticed that as my premiums were continually increasing, their level of customer service was dropping dramatically. When I told them that I was considering leaving, after more than 3 decades, they could not have cared less. A close friend referred me to Tim Duray at StateFarm. At our first meeting, Tim asked very pertinent questions about my specific insurance needs. We talked about levels of coverage, deductibles and how all of my coverages worked together, to provide me with a true safety net, in the event of a peril. I estimate that this conversation alone has saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary premiums. We continue to meet annually, to discuss my specific insurance needs. In retrospect, having a personal insurance agent is a no-brainer that should have done years ago. Recently, I had a plumbing leak that completely flooded 2 floors of my home. It was a complete disaster. To make matters worse, my home was for sale! My first call was to Tim. He assured me that StateFarm would take care of me and make things right. He then sprung into action, filed my claim and called a remediation company. From that point forward, he worked seamlessly with the claims department, who where also awesome. Tim shepherded my claim through from start to finish, keeping me constantly informed. StateFarm wasn’t just my insurance company, they were literally my problem solvers. They took a terrible situation, and made it right with compassion and lightning speed. I’m grateful, and will be a StateFarm customer for life. Thank you Tim Duray, and the StateFarm claims department!"

"Mike, this is amazing. You are pulling back the curtain on USAA. I sure hope some readers take the time to digest what you chronicled above. You used to have a call-center insurer who had been overcharging you and not covering you properly because they did not have a relationship with you. And my goodness...what would have happened during that claim if you had no agency support! That was CRAZY! That was absolutely a team effort. You communicated and participated perfectly. I was more engaged than normal because of the circumstances. But man, claims shined didn't they? That is the thing I love about this great company. "Like a Good Neighbor, State Farm is there.' We still use that slogan because it is SO true. I make promises every time I write a Homeowner's, Auto, or Life insurance policy. And State Farm makes me proud, every time the worst possible thing happens to our customers, because they always deliver. I love being part of this incredible company. Thanks for appreciating our efforts. Hoping that was the most drama we have to endure over the next 20 years!"

"Do yourself a favor and don’t buy insurance from this company You ll make one legit claim on your home or auto insurance and they will decide not to renew your insurance Furthermore if you want to make claim on your roof forget it they will never approve it You are good as long as you make payments and no claims There are better insurance companies out there"

"Abdella, please be brave enough to leave your review up this time. Some customers appreciate reading negative reviews and the owner's response. You edited your original post, "I had one claim and they cancelled me." That was shrewd, because you had 5 claims in the last 2.5 years, so you received a non-renewal letter. Here are the order events after that: You attack my business with your negative review, when I reach out to see if you are ok, you threatened me, then you filed another claim (#6!), then you find out you're uninsurable, blame me, compliment my team (love that), threaten me again, then ask if I can help, and repost your revised review. It's all in the correspondence below. I'm sure it has been tough year with your business failing. You tried your best. I loved your salads! (Our Texts 5/20-21) [5/20/24 1:25 PM] Me: Are you ok? [1:27 PM] Abdella Elattari - CA Tortilla: You people have the balls to drop me off both car and home You guys are a scam I gave you five years of business for all my insurances and that a what o get [1:27 PM] Abdella Elattari : I m going just fine I did file a complaint against you and State Farm with the va commissioner Stay tuned [1:32 PM] Abdella Elattari :Bye [1:40 PM] Me: Abdella, I'm sorry you're going through whatever you're going through. I know you have worked hard. The funny thing is, I might have even been able to help save your insurance from non-renewal, but now I feel like you would resent me if I tried to do that. "My husband and I had Auto/Personal Property/Home insurance with USAA for 20+years. We had no complaints until they first increased our Auto/Personal Property insurance policy (we called to inquire about the increase in the auto insurance but was informed it was due to the laws changing in VA). Fast forward to 2 years later and then USAA increased our Home Owners insurance over $2K without any notification or reason why. Keep in mind that we had only filed several claims and they had been within a past 15-18 year timeframe. So we knew this certainly couldn’t be the reason why our insurance was increasing. Needless, to say we researched and looked into purchasing insurance with other companies. After doing our homework State Farm was our choice. Not only did they offer better rates but we managed to keep everything we previously had of our old policies plus some additional perks! The Insurance Rep, Michelle was quite knowledgeable, professional and courteous and walked us through every detail of our new policies. We couldn’t be happier with our new policies and more importantly the fact that we now have AFFORDABLE AUTO/HOME/PERSONAL PROPERTY COVERAGE!! Thank you State Farm and Kuddos to Michelle!"

"I’ve been with Tim Duray for quite a few years. They’ve always been prompt and courteous. I’ve heard horror stories from friends that are trying to deal with their insurance companies. Not here. A great thing about having a local agent, they are just a quick phone call away and always willing to help me through any issues you may have. Brandy is always helpful and on point."

Folks who choose one of those direct insurers that rely on call centers are more likely to get let down, be improperly insured, and they do not find out until it is too late. "The agent that was helping me today Brandy, and she was AMAZING! She’s so sweet, and you can really tell that she cares about you and wants to help you.
